Meet your not-so-average Joe.

Joe Fisher is a passionate filmmaker and certified jack-of-all-trades. Originally born at Andrew’s Air Force Base in Maryland, he grew up in the quaint town of Berryville, VA. Joe spent his childhood surrounded by farming and football— taking every chance he could to spend a rainy day at the local movie theatre. However, it wasn’t until fifth grade when Mrs. Moore confided that Joe’s writing immensely moved her, that he had an inkling he may be destined for a more artistic path.

Joe attended Shenandoah University, where he was able to cultivate his writing, producing, and directing chops; diving into the complexities of the creative process and the actor/director relationship. With full-time classes during the day, Joe spent the majority of his nights working on set. He worked his first professional job in the Summer of 2018 on the Production Staff for Wonder Woman 1984, and went on to serve as the Unit Production Manager for Cupid For Christmas.

Over the past few years, Joe has worked closely under the direction of Paul DiFranco, Mark Scoon, Martha Wollner, Blayne Weaver, and Scott Hudson. Since then, Joe has created several shorts including A Loss for Words, Lights out Alex, and White Lie. In 2020, he wrote, directed, and produced Letter From The Editor: My Story, which was the first time he received financing for a film. In addition to filmmaking, Joe also explores music video direction for recording artists.

In his free time, you can find Joe brainstorming a new episode for his podcast “Play-It-Back,” where he analyzes the the best musical albums of all time (ie: “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye…discuss) or playing baseball in his backyard. Joe now resides in Los Angeles, CA pursuing a full-time career in filmmaking.

Feel free to stay awhile and see Joe’s resume, film portfolio, or his upcoming projects.
